Noah’s Ark Preschool offers preschool with a purpose for area children. It is not only a service to the membership, but is also an outreach to the community. Some of our staff have been faithful in this effort for over 25 years, and we are now dealing with the second generation of participants. Many of the kids are of families not affiliated with TBC.
State certification is a big part of running a preschool. Physical facilities head the list of necessities which must meet stringent requirements.
When TBC built our current building in 2007, it had been in the planning and design stage for more than a year. Foremost in our plans was how to accommodate Noah’s Ark Preschool. Most of the south wing of the TBC building is designed around the preschool, from the placement of the room, the size of the room and its exits, to the exterior doors, proximity of bathrooms and kitchens, and the exterior playground area.
We are not the only church to offer a preschool, but we like to think we are doing it right. This is a place where kids are cared for, accepted, loved and taught. As with all our ministries, Jesus is central.
