Kids Ministry

At The Benton Church, we are committed to teaching kids about Jesus and the Scriptures in a way that is engaging and enriching for all kids. At 9:30 AM, kids gather in small groups designed to build strong relationships with both peers and adult leaders while diving deeper into God’s Word. At 10:30 AM, children’s church includes an opening game or activity, get-to-know-you questions, a Scripture-based lesson with video, and a highly interactive teaching where kids participate in the story—ending with small group time to help them process and apply what they’ve learned. Early Childhood includes 3-year-olds through 1st grade, and Upper Childhood includes 2nd through 6th grade. A trained church security team is also present each Sunday to help ensure a safe environment.

What are your values?
Loving Like Jesus, Learning About Jesus, Living Like Jesus, Empowering Parents, A Safe & Fun Environment.
Can I serve with my kids?
Absolutely! In fact, we love when families serve together—it’s a great way to grow in faith side by side.
How do you keep my kids safe?
All volunteers are background checked, and every room includes at least one SafeGatherings-certified adult. We follow the “Rule of Two” (two unrelated adults present at all times), and our kids’ areas are monitored by video cameras. Our trained church security team is also present every Sunday. Safety is a big deal to us—ask to see our full policy anytime!
What is a Child Dedication?
Child Dedication is a special service where parents and our church family commit together to raise your special child to know and follow Jesus. It’s a joyful moment of prayer, blessing, and celebration!
What is there for my kid when he or she goes into 7th grade?
They’re invited to join TBC Youth! The summer between 6th and 7th grade, they’re welcome to most kids and youth events to help with the transition.
